Two paths through the Lorenz attractor, started a millionth apart. Give them fifteen seconds.

aka Chaos. Founder, trader, psychology graduate.

Syed Mohammad Kaif

I build companies, trade crypto and gold, and actually use my psychology degree. Chaos Version is company one of five.

A founder, a trader and a psychology graduate walk into a bar. It’s the same guy.

Born in Gaya, Bihar, raised by the internet. I’ve spent about ten years trying to understand why people do what they do, mostly so I could make better ads and lose less money on charts.

Chaos theory: a butterfly flaps its wings in Brazil and sets off a tornado in Texas.

A butterfly flapped its wings in Gaya, and it somehow led to global strides.

Lorenz, 1972. Me, ongoing.

Markets

I trade crypto and gold with my own money.

I write my rules down and test them before I put money behind them. Most of my worst trades happened when I ignored them.

  • Risk first

Protect the account before trying to grow it.

  • The chart is a crowd

Every candle is a lot of people being scared or greedy at once.

  • Size for sleep

If a position keeps me up at night, it’s too big.

  • Exit first

I decide where I’m getting out before I get in.

Not Bitcoin or gold. It’s the Lorenz system, three equations from 1963, and it still looks like a market.

Not financial advice. I’m not a SEBI-registered adviser, and I only trade my own money.

Psychology

Your eyes went exactly where I put them.

BA in Applied Psychology from Amity University Kolkata. I started a master’s in Clinical Psychology and left to build full time. I still use it every day, mostly on clients, and on myself when a trade goes wrong.

Main interests: attention, risk, persuasion and habit.

The director’s cut

Ten years, compressed for web.

  1. At 11

    Meme pages

Ran meme pages with 300,000 followers between them. That’s where I learned what people share.

  2. At 16

    Lockdown

Started an online support community for people dealing with depression and isolation.

  3. The NFT boom

    Communities

Ran community for two big Indian NFT projects. Learned how fast hype disappears.

  4. Somewhere in between

    The store and the launches

Started an ecommerce brand, then shut it down. Ran course launches for an international author and speaker across five platforms.

  5. 2025

    The degree

Graduated with a BA in Applied Psychology from Amity University Kolkata.

  6. Feb 2026

    The exit

Left a master’s in Clinical Psychology at Uttaranchal University to build full time.

  7. 2026

    Chaos Version

Started the agency. Clients in eight countries so far.

  8. Now

    The book, and what’s next

Writing my book in public and planning the next four companies. They’re the offline clips at the end of the timeline.

The Existentialist Walked Into a Bar

GenZ Philosophy for the Old and Young

Fifty-seven chapters on time, fear, faith, death and meaning, written by someone still figuring them out.

I’m writing it in public, so you can read the draft as it happens, including the parts I’ll probably have to cut.

Email me for the draft

Free. The button opens an email to me, and I’ll send it over.

On the record

What got written down.

That’s 45 seconds.

Your move.

Partnerships, podcasts, the book, or an argument about Camus. I read everything.
